The History of Antiques of Winfield

After running Winfield’s only hardware store for over three decades, the big box stores started moving in and Nancy Schauer knew it was time for a change. She decided to ditch the tools and renovate the 6,000 sq. ft., three-floor space to fit over fifty antique dealers and their extensive collection of cool collectibles.

Always having a small town USA feel to it, Winfield began to blossom in the late 90’s as plans for a revitalized downtown took root.  Population growth demanded a larger retail environment and by 2005, the foundation had been laid for dozens of significant downtown improvements and city hall expansion. Antiques of Winfield was growing as well, adding dealer space and putting the finishing touches on a new paint job!

Bright photo of the owners of Antiques of Winfield smiling Nancy passed away in 2012, but her spirit lives on through her daughter Dawn who took over the reins. Updates to the electrical system, lighting, security system, and many other investments to improve the customer and dealer experience have made us one of the best antique shops in the area.
